Cosmetic Injections at Waterloo Medical Cosmetics

Dermal fillers, such as Dysport, are popular due to their effectiveness and versatility, especially for treating forehead wrinkles and 11-lines. If you’re in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and looking for cosmetic injections near you, Waterloo Medical Cosmetics has you covered.

Dysport® is best described as a modern version of Botox®. A neuromodulator, it is our preferred treatment for crow’s feet, “11-lines” (those troublesome vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows), and forehead lines. Neuromodulators cause the facial muscles to relax, reducing wrinkles in the skin and preventing new wrinkles from forming.

Dysport and Botox are different from other popular injectables in that they affect the muscles of the face. Dysport and Botox are medical products injected in minuscule quantities into muscles to help those muscles relax and release wrinkles. They are ideal for reducing fine lines.

Dermal Fillers at Waterloo Medical Cosmetics

Dermal fillers, on the other hand (including Juvederm® and Restylane®), are hyaluronic acid-based medical gels that physically lift skin to add definition and smooth skin hollows. These products are used more commonly in lip treatments and under-eye hollows. But the Waterloo Medical Cosmetics team is experienced with using dermal fillers for a variety of contouring practices including temple hollows and jaw line contouring. You’ll leave the medspa looking and feeling refreshed.

Botox Treatments for Hyperhidrosis and Bruxism

Bruxism is a fancy term for teeth grinding—by day or while you sleep. Bruxism can cause permanent damage to the teeth and cause headaches and significant pain in the face and jaw. Bruxism has proven to be an effective treatment—more effective, in fact, than other more traditional treatment options. Treatment outcomes lasts 5-7 months and like hyperhydrosis treatments is often covered by your insurance policy.

If you’d like to learn more about any of our services, whether you’re looking for cosmetic injectables near you or dermal filler treatment near you,—well, you’ve already found the best of the best, Waterloo Medical Cosmetics. Botox has proven its versatility as a drug that offers so much more than just the relief of wrinkles and fine lines. It’s also highly effective and well-regarded as a treatment for medical conditions including hyperhydrosis (excess sweating) and bruxism (tooh grinding).

Hyperhydrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating, and if this is a condition you or a loved one has ever had to deal with, you know the emotional pain and embarrassment it can cause. If underarm sweating is significantly interfering with your daily activities and topical agents haven’t worked, you may wish to consider Botox treatment. Botox treatment for hyperhidrosis typically alleviates the problem for five to seven months and is often covered by your private insurance plan.

Our cosmetic nurses are also trained in advanced techniques at Dr. Martin’s in Barrie, a leading medical cosmetics school. All clients are screened by our Medical Director, Dr. W. Michalski, MD, for safety and to ensure medical suitability for any treatment. All procedures are conducted with strict attention to safety.

Maximum Comfort

For each of our treatments, numbing creams are available to keep our clients comfortable. Our dermal fillers also include xylocaine (a local freezing medication) for additional comfort during each procedure.

Our cosmetic nurses are never commissioned, which means they can recommend services that benefit you and you alone. We encourage everyone to come and chat with our staff before deciding to receive any treatment. Your safety and comfort is our number one priority!

Botox and Dysport

Over time, fine lines and wrinkles can develop on your face. This can make you feel older, look tired or even appear stressed. You can smooth and soften these lines, as well as prevent new ones from forming with our range of Botox and Dysport injections. These types of injections work by temporarily paralyzing muscles that cause lines and wrinkles.

We also offer Botox injections to treat severe sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis. We can work with most insurers to cover the cost of the medication where this is included as part of your health insurance.

Juvederm and Restylane

Dermal fillers can help restore a youthful fullness to your skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Juvederm lip fillers give your lips a plumper, more defined look, particularly around your Cupid’s bow.

Many of our clients love the impact that our range of dermal fillers has on deeper facial folds and under-eye circles, helping them to maintain their naturally beautiful look. Dermal fillers can be used in any area of the face and body to help achieve a full, firm appearance.
