Concern: thinning hair

Thinning hair and hair loss

Hair thinning can have many causes, and an aesthetic treatment is not a substitute for appropriate medical assessment when hair loss is sudden, patchy, symptomatic or unexplained.

Start by understanding the pattern

Timing, distribution, family history, hormones, nutrition, medications, illness and scalp conditions can all affect hair loss. When the pattern suggests a medical cause, assessment should come before treatment.

Aesthetic options are selective

WMC may offer supportive hair-restoration treatments for suitable clients. These are not appropriate for every cause of hair loss and results vary.

Set expectations early

Hair growth cycles are slow. When a treatment is appropriate, progress is usually judged over months rather than days, and maintenance may be part of the plan.
