Skin lesions can look similar while having very different causes. The first step is deciding what the lesion is likely to be and whether removal at our clinic is appropriate. A physician assessment may be part of that process.

Treatment depends on the lesion
Removal technique depends on the type, size, depth and location of the lesion and the cosmetic goals for the area. Options may include minor surgical techniques or other office-based methods. We will explain the expected scar, healing period, after-care and limitations before treatment.
When not to treat it cosmetically
A changing, bleeding, unusually pigmented or otherwise concerning lesion should be medically assessed rather than treated as a simple cosmetic concern. If a lesion is not appropriate for treatment at WMC, we will tell you.
What happens after removal
Healing and scar appearance vary by person and by procedure. You will receive written after-care instructions and information about when to contact the clinic if something does not look as expected.
