Where electrolysis fits
Electrolysis is different from laser hair removal. A fine probe is placed at the follicle and controlled electrical energy is used to treat that follicle. Because hairs are treated individually, it is especially useful for targeted areas and for hair colours that do not respond well to laser.
What to expect
Treatment time depends on the number and density of hairs. Multiple visits are usually needed because not every hair is visible or in the same growth stage at one time. Your provider will discuss a practical treatment interval for the area.
Laser and electrolysis can complement each other
Some clients use laser first to reduce a larger field of darker hair and electrolysis later for remaining individual hairs. Others are better suited to electrolysis from the start.
