An Intro to Restylane

The appointments take about 60 minutes and involved application of a numbing cream for comfort. Most treatments involve some mild bruising but minimal true downtime.
What to Expect
First, our medical director will meet with you to ensure you’re medically suitable for the treatment. While this is often a formality, every once in a while we have to say no to someone, mainly because of pregnancy, breastfeeding or if you are flying within two weeks of treatment. Once we’ve ensured you’re safe to have the treatments, one of our Cosmetics Nurses will meet with you to discuss your goals and perform the actual treatment! Because the medical gel causes the contouring as it goes in, the effects are immediate, although can take some time for swelling to settle and final results to become apparent. We always recommend a complimentary two week follow up to ensure you love your look!

Results and Recovery
Recovery time after Restylane is minimal since the treatment is non-surgical and involves ultra-thin needles. If you notice any discomfort at the treatment site, feel free to apply ice to the area to bring down swelling and minimize bruising. After treatment, you may notice mild swelling, redness, and bruising but this will disappear within a few days to a week or so. Once the treatment site has healed, you can enjoy your new look with dermal fillers for up to two years.
To get the most out of your fillers, make sure to follow the proper care instructions given to you after your appointment. This involves staying hydrated, using sunscreen, and not putting pressure on the site that could shift the filler location.
